Black Balsam Elopement

Alyssa + Jordan

The fog was so thick before dawn, that we were at snail pace on the winding drive up the mountain. We all tip toed into the dark balsam forest, feeling an awed quiet at the majesty of a misty moments before the sun rose. The needles were spongey under foot and the misty drops were falling off the branches around us. With their bubble umbrellas Alyssa + Jordan ambled through, their smiles absolutely lighting up the woods around them.

After adventuring and hiking around the mountain and waterfalls taking photos together it was time for their cliffside ceremony. Alyssa and her father walked arm in arm toward Jordan and their best friend (who'd gotten a licensed just to marry them). As they shared their hand written vows together Jordan smiled and tossed aside his umbrella, and Alyssa laughing did the same. You could not tell the rain from their happy tears as these two pledged their lives to each other.
